Know Where Your beef Came From! Blackburn Farm-since 1850!

Sitting on a hill in the foothills of NC, Healthy BEEFS at Blackburn Farm is a very beautiful place, and raising cattle has been a family tradition here since the mid 1800’s. We are surrounded by The Blue Ridge, Appalachian, and Brushy Mountains, plus we can see Stone Mountain and Pilot Mountain, home of two great State Parks from our pasture.  My Great, Great Grandfather John B Blackburn married a Cherokee lady and settled on the farm around 1850. Their son and my Great Grandfather, Miles Filmore Blackburn married Mary Hutchinson Blackburn, and they were next to raise a family on Blackburn farm. Visitors to Stone Mountain State Park can still visit the Hutchinson Homestead cabin where Grandma Mary was born and see old family photos on the state park info signs, some of which I proudly donated to the Park Service. The children of Miles and Mary included my Grandfather Barney Blackburn.  My father, Odell Blackburn was born on Blackburn farm to Barney and Cora Blackburn in 1935.  My Dad married Evelyn Waddell Blackburn in 1955, and Blackburn farm soon grew to include the Waddell farm next door. I am Irvin Blackburn, born here in 1959, and living and working on the farm with my wife, Karen. We too have raised a family here and our 11 Grandchildren love the farm, cattle, and our PUPPIES, as Healthypups.com has also been a family business here since 1982. Our Grandson, Brennan is currently in love with the farm, and enjoys working here!  The family tradition continues!  This is a wonderful area to visit, AND we are a great place to buy humanely raised healthy grassfed beef for your freezer at wholesale prices! We feel that any smart buyer would want to know where their beef comes from.  Grocery store beef is ridiculously expensive. The buyer of the grocery store beef doesn’t know about the health of the beef that was slaughtered, what kind of unhealthy food was fed to raise the beef, how many drugs were used to raise the beef, OR whether the beef was treated with chemicals at the grocery store to increase shelf life and make it look pretty. Grass fed beef direct from the pasture is more healthy, much cheaper, and just tastes better! Our cattle are a combination of best bloodlines cross bred for DIVERSE genetics because we feel that mentally and physically healthier cattle come from unrelated breedings. We can also sell beef on hoof to you at wholesale prices if you want to slaughter one for your freezer!  Please call me with your questions.   We will facetime to show you cattle live if you wish, AND you can visit here to see cattle in person.  We are here to please! Give us a call at (336) 957-3609!
